This is a very special moment for my family, and I’m grateful to share it with all of you.
Today, we’re here to break ground on a new building.
But for me, this moment is about something much deeper than construction.
It’s about where we came from… and everything it took to get here.
My parents (Chan & Kim) came to this country from Cambodia in the early 90s.
They didn’t come here with comfort or security.
They came here with survival, responsibility, and hope.
When they came to the United States, they didn’t have much.
But they had something more important—resilience.
They found their way into the donut business.
Not because it was glamorous, but because it was an opportunity.
Long nights. Early mornings. Years of sacrifice.
Growing up, I remember watching them work when most people were still asleep.
I remember the consistency—the discipline—the quiet determination to keep going, no matter what.
There were no shortcuts.
No easy paths.
Just work… every single day.
And over time, that work turned into something real.
They didn’t just build a business.
They built stability.
They made decisions that allowed our family to not just operate, but to own—to own the land, to think long-term, and to create something that could last.
That foundation is the reason we are standing here today.
This project is not just a building.
It’s a continuation of their story.
It’s taking everything they went through—the loss, the responsibility, the sacrifice—and turning it into something that creates opportunity for the next generation.
To my parents—
There aren’t enough words to thank you.
For everything you carried.
For everything you gave up.
For everything you built without ever asking for recognition.
To our partners (.us & ) our team, and our community—thank you for believing in us and standing with us on this journey.
And to everyone here—
This is just the beginning.
We’re proud to build something that honors our past, represents our culture, and creates something meaningful for the future.
