Our fiery Michael, had always loved fire trucks. 🚒

If anyone remembers him and our Lil Gherkin RAN INTO TRAFFIC to throw sandwiches at the firefighters a few months back (I do not condone this, haha)

Last week we decided we wanted to do a food donation to the amazing firefighters at Engine 26 to show our appreciation and gratitude.

“One man’s loss is another man’s gain.” Whether we order too much bread or it’s a delivery mistake we make sure our day old bread goes to a good home! We like to donate our overflow to local churches in our area.

If you have any suggestions on charities or organizations for us to donate to please go to this link! We have already done a hand full of things but would love some help figuring out our next “thank you” to the community.

“Which Tambellini’s are you related to?”

according to the family tree at the Lucchesi Nel Mondo/Tambellini Cousin’s Fest the answer is ALL OF THEM.

Over the weekend Michael and I attended the festival and it was AMAZING. Great people, good w**e, tasty food, and games galore.

Michael and I shared (and accomplished) the dream of owning and running a restaurant together. Featured in our photos are a few others who did it side by side with their partners.(husband and wife just like us)

✨ Specials ✨
are a day late BUT well worth the wait. Sometimes Michael and I collab perfectly but sometimes we have to sit on our ideas and meet in the middle. That’s this weeks specials: Compromise 😊

✨ Mad Apple ✨
-Fried eggplant 🍆 & fresh mozzarella with fire roasted peppers 🫑(dressed with balsamic of course) topped with Calabrian aioli and chopped basil 🌿 on a toasted hoagie roll

✨ Caprese Salad ✨
-Locally harvested cherry tomatoes 🍒 🍅 and fresh mozzarella dressed with evoo topped with balsamic and basil chiffonade on a bed of romaine 🥬

✨ The Kitchen Sink ✨
-Homemade bread pudding (Michael is obsessed) with a cinnamon banana caramel sauce and a second sauce (why not) of milk chocolate 🍫 finished with Mecurio’s Tiramisu Gelato 🍨

FUN FACT:
-During the late Middle Ages the eggplant was thought to cause insanity and even ☠️ due to being a member of the nightshade family. We now know eggplant is a good source of fiber, b vitamins, and many other beautiful things!

4 Simple Ways to Reduce Stress according to Mario Meaty

1.) Talk with the Cos to Our Tambellini: Our staff is so friendly and always down to hear your story.

2.) Eat a Meatball: NOT Meaty though.

3.) Get a Good Cheese Pull: You will get a good cheese pull EVERY TIME with our homemade mozzarella.

4.)Have a Scoop of Gelato…or Two: It’s a no brainer that gelato brings instant joy ESPECIALLY with a biscotti on top.

While we may not have been at Little Italy Days we did decide to visit!

This is a friendly reminder to always shop LOCAL during events like these. It’s Little Italy for a reason. Liberty Ave is filled with amazing Italian restaurants that have been there for a very long time.

No. It is not. We are in NO way associated with the Tambellini Food Truck. It is independently owned.

-Our house made balls (no marinara) smothered in hot sauce topped with romaine, mozzarella & buffalo ranch finished with blue cheese crumbles

✨ Bread Pudding with Vanilla Gelato ✨
-Bread pudding made from our mediterra 🥖 drizzled with a caramel cinnamon 🍌 sauce finished with Mercurio’s vanilla gelato

Lil Gherkin is slinging lil treats at her snack stand today.
Fly Guy Sly ran a marathon!
Aunt Kathy is selling cutting boards down the blvd.
The rest of us are jamming, cooking up a storm, and just enjoying the day.

These are the good ole days. We could not be happier.
