Today we took in fresh breads, wild mushrooms, vegetables from BioWay Farms kindly delivered by Sam at Swamp Rabbit… all while fixing some corn s**t for the farmer who grew it… I love this community of people. You can easily get lost in the rush and busy of it all but looking at the people who care so deeply about food and how it connects us is hard to find words for. Food in its simplest and freshest state is a connection & the taste of memories we all hold.

Ma- where’s the Meatloaf?!
At The Wizard Owl Thursday for our lunch special and then an encore for supper - served with stewed buttery potatoes & Bradford Family Farm ’s Charleston Wakefield Cabbage - Hagood Mill cornbread available & add a side of South Carolina Watermelon… but save room for dessert because we have banana pudding, sweet potato cake peach and blueberry crisp - dessert crepes like our French Quarter Foster or Gwendolyn using McLeod Farms peaches maybe a Happy Cow Creamery Ice Cream dessert is more your thing… and don’t worry you can walk it off in the mercantile after 😉

Thanks for a great Sunday & keeping us on our toes this week… I am so very proud of our staff - they care - and that’s a precious ingredient. See you Thursday morning - where we’ll do it all again
