As a former engineer who, at one time, developed software for an autonomous off-road vehicle competition, I was so excited when this young group of engineering students and their professor came in for coffee! ☕️
Cameron, Maria, Grady and Alex are from Chico State College in California. They designed and built this all-terrain vehicle for the Baja SAE Competition in Palmyra, New York, attended by more than 1,800 student engineers from the United States, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico. For the Chico Baja team, it meant hauling their vehicle nearly 2900 miles each way to be judged on design, craftsmanship and safety before entering the final competition, a 4 hour endurance race! While their vehicle didn’t come in first, they completed this remarkable feat and improved their marks from last year, which is winning in my book! 🏆
Congratulations to this team and thank you for stopping in to Ginny’s, sharing your adventure and unloading your vehicle for all of us to see! ♥️
