These bad boys have been filling our fryers these past few weeks, and we just wanted to formally introduce them! These corn fritters, we’re calling Maruyang Mais, are sweet corn tossed in potato starch, fried, and tossed in a corn bbq, and topped with a little mayo and cheese. They’re a staple on our pulutan platter, but deserve a formal introduction of their own!

We’re also bringing these down to EKIBEN next weekend for the Ekiben Night Market! So come hang with us if you’re in town!

It’s hot and wet and smoky, and the world’s on fire- so it’s the perfect time to TREAT YOURSELF! Our pastry chef Roxxanne Delle Site-Jeronimo put together this beautiful Strawberry Shortcake Sundae. It’s a Keso (cheese) ice cream, strawberry compote, and topped with a “shortcake” meringue.

This is her Filipino take on the classic Strawberry Shortcake bars she’d get from the ice cream truck.
