Dearest Gentle Reader,
The Season is upon us once again, and one cannot help but wonder whether the most discerning ladies and gentlemen of our acquaintance are adequately prepared for the delightful gatherings that await.
Pray tell, have your gowns been pressed, your gloves selected, and your bonnets adorned with sufficient elegance to attract the admiration of every eye in the room? Have the gentlemen attended to their waistcoats, cravats, and coats, ensuring they present themselves in a manner befitting the occasion?
As whispers travel swiftly through society, it has reached this author’s ears that a most enchanting series of Afternoon Tea Parties is soon to commence. One would be remiss to arrive anything less than splendidly attired in the fashions of the Regency.
There shall be delicate teas, petite nibbles, charming conversation, and all the refinements one expects from polite society. Yet, it is not merely the tea that promises to delight—it is also the prospect of seeing you, dearest reader. Indeed, the excitement of welcoming so many distinguished guests fills one’s heart with the greatest anticipation.
The hosts eagerly await your arrival and look forward to spending a most agreeable afternoon in your esteemed company. Until then, do take care that your attire is in order, for society is ever watchful, and first impressions, as we all know, are impossible to reclaim.
It remains this author’s sincere pleasure to anticipate your presence, and she dares say the forthcoming festivities would be decidedly less fashionable without you.
Yours most faithfully,
Lady Jane Silver Scone Teas
and Lord Daniel Haus of Candymann
