Ok. Im sorry for the confusion but its nice to know how the community feels about the name change, after careful consideration and looking at comments I have decided to keep the Starbuck's Drive-In name. Its so much a part of the Nevada Community i cant see changing it. Shelley worked the majority of her adult life at Starbucks and John sold her the business because he knew she would keep it the same. We will carry on the legacy that is Starbucks Drive In in honor of Shelley. She wouldnt want it any different. Anna

Good Morning Nevada! Just another update on the Strabucks Rebuild. The asbestos cleanup is just finished yesterday. If anyone is interested, there was a couple layers of yellow linoleum under the tile in the kitchen part (which was very original part of building). Anyone remember that?!! Now that that is finished we can proceed with the demolition of building and cabin.
Also BIG news in the Rebuild fund. In the last two weeks or so we saw a 26000 jump in donations. We are now up from 31000 to almost 57000. Which is so awesome!!! We are definitely in a great position to get something going for next season. I cannot tell you how much we appreciate all that this community continues to show up for Starbucks. And while we here are letting you know we have decided to change the Starbuck name. If anyone has a great idea for something catchy let us know in a message. Before anyone has issue with the name change i wish you would reach out to me or another person involved with the business to hear the reasoning behind the decision. We are looking forward to some new ideas and really looking forward to a new building and a new season! Anna

Hi guys. Time for an update of whats been happening with the Starbucks Rebuild. The building has been tested for asbestos and a small amount was found that will require cleanup before the demolition can begin. Hopefully we can move foward with that soon. We are just above 30000 in the bank from donations which is so awesome. You guys have really come thru for us!
With all that said, the plan so far is to try to put up some sort of metal building which we can finish the front for seating and icecream preparation and maybe use a food truck as kitchen until we can finish the kitchen area. Or if we get enough money raised we can go forward with the kitchen area at same time. We are very dedicated to trying to come up with something and be open next season. We are looking at alot of possibilities and welcome any ideas you might have. Thank you to all that have contributed and supported Anne Gray in her efforts to raise $ for Starbucks . She has a couple events scheduled for next month so keep an eye out on here for times and dates and venues. As soon as we decide which way we want to go with the building I will try to get some sort of drawing so everyone can see! Thank you again and i believe we are about 1/2 way towards goal. We have been an open book about everything going on with Starbuck's since the fire but I refuse to entertain trolls. I will block all trolls because we have enough to deal with without certain individuals trying to undermine us. We have been through enough devastation since Shelley passed away and the fire. We are working hard to rebuild and come back to serve our loyal Starbuck's Drive-In community.

Rebuilding from the ground up will be an enormous expense. From the few conversations I have had with people who are more experienced in this area, I have been told anywhere from $500,000 to $750,000. That is without any private donors who may donate time or materials to rebuild. We can't give an exact figure as to what our goal is for certain until we know what would be donated from professionals and have bids for the rebuild.

We have considered going smaller, even possibly a food truck which would be a far more affordable option. We are keeping all options on the table.

In the event we are unable to reopen for business, all donations will be divided between local charities and non profit organizations.

We thank our loyal Starbuck's community for all your support as we try to rise from the ashes of this tragedy.
