As many of you know, our neighbors and beloved friends at closed their doors earlier this month. Last week, they generously donated some food that they weren’t able to use before their final night of service, including osso buco — a tender meat that was a true treat for us to cook with. We made a flavorful red curry with it, using bright veggies and warm spices to complement the beef.

The dish made hundreds portions that we shared the community through partnerships with a host of poverty-disrupting organizations across the city. Although we’re heartbroken to see Hathorne go, we’re deeply grateful for the way their generosity continues to nourish Nashville. 💚

Dear Friends-Due to situations beyond our control, Hathorne will be unable to open for service tonight and tomorrow. We are heartbroken and hate that it has to end this way. It’s been a beautiful and wild ride. If you have a favorite memory or meal or just farewell wishes to share, please comment below.

With heavy hearts, we want to share that Hathorne will be closing after service this weekend. Almost 6 years ago we were a “Best 50 New Restaurant”. We survived through a pandemic and a 7 month closure. We served Hollywood stars, musical greats, and countless of our Nashville neighbors. We celebrated the big stuff with you: engagements and weddings, babies, and new jobs. We celebrated friendship and fellowship and the everyday joy that comes from sharing a meal. And while we’re proud of the food we’ve served and the hospitality provided, the truth is, it’s just not sustainable in today’s climate. We aren’t the first local restaurant to close this year. Sadly, we won’t be the last.

We hope that some of you will be able to join us this week for one last shared meal, one last cocktail at the bar, one last memory in our beautiful space.
