Ever been curious about the tree in the lobby when you come in?

One of Giovan’s favorite things to do in the states was continue to cultivate many Sicilian staples with his daughter. Zucchini, eggplant, and these figs were their favorites - seeded at “home” in San Cipirello, and rooted here in Muscatine 😍

These Sicilian figs have become an essential part of both Salvatores and Antonellas, still being cared for by both of his twins and some extended family members, as sharing his love of growing things brought him a lot of pride and so much joy.

The fresh figs are soft with a honey type of sweetness, a perfect snack you would often see him and his daughter sharing together. From San Cipirello, Sicily, all the way to Muscatine, IA - they continue to be a household favorite during the summer and early fall months and one of the family’s favorite ways to remember Giovan by ❣️

Field & Forge is a new, husband-and-wife-owned gym built from our shared love of fitness and the gym community. Between personal training, working at and training in many different gyms throughout our lives, we’ve experienced firsthand what makes a great gym — and we’re excited to bring our own vision to Muscatine.

🏋️ Opening early November!

We’ll also be offering a presale membership before we open, with details coming soon!

For now, follow along as we take you behind the scenes of our launch — from remodeling and equipment deliveries to all the little (and probably not-so-little 😅) adventures that come with opening a gym.
