Last week, we had the opportunity to take our Grounds Department Apprentices to the MSU Turfgrass Field Day!

The Bucks Run Grounds Department is hiring part-time Grounds Maintenance Crew Members for the remainder of the 2026 golfing season. Job responsibilities include mowing of playing surfaces, raking sand traps, use of hand-tools, backpack blowing, w**d whipping, and fall clean-up. College students are encouraged to apply! Behind the Scenes with the Grounds Department! 🌱

Last week, a soil-directed health spray was applied to our turf and was immediately followed by irrigation to move everything into the root zone.

This application included a combination of 5 materials; designed to improve water movement through the soil profile, support root development, improve moisture management, enhance nutrient availability, and help the turf stay resilient during the heat of summer.

Applications like this are part of the ongoing work to build stronger turf from the roots up!
