Around here, we like them all a little hot. 🔥

One of our favorite pieces from this menu release is our brand new Nocturnal dragon shirt. The front features Nocturnal and a dragon, while the back proudly says:

“We Like It Hot.”

And honestly… it couldn’t be more Nocturnal.

What makes this shirt even more special to us is that it was designed and hand-drawn by our owner, Hannah. As a mom, it’s been so exciting watching her continue to use and grow her artistic talents, bringing her imagination to life through Nocturnal. From our menus to our merch, so much of what you see starts as a sketch in one of her notebooks.

The artwork doesn’t stop with the shirts either. Hannah also created the labels for our exclusive dragon candles, hand-poured by our wonderful friends at Wicked Wicks. Together they created the perfect pairing for fantasy lovers, dragon riders, and anyone who wishes they lived in a romantasy novel.

Whether you’re looking for a new favorite shirt, a dragon candle, or just want to support local artists and small businesses, we’d love for you to stop in and see everything in person.

At Nocturnal, we know everyone has their favorite. ✨

Maybe you’re a regular menu kind of person. The one who comes in for a perfectly crafted latte made with our handmade syrups, a cup of our slow-simmered chai brewed with whole spices and vanilla beans, or a mug of our fresh cider that’s cooked low and slow with apples, oranges, and spices until it fills the entire shop with the smell of comfort.

Maybe you’re here for one of our tonics like the Modern Prometheus or Midnight Dreary, sipping something a little different while enjoying the atmosphere.

Or maybe you’re one of the adventurous ones. The people who wait for our menu reveals, count down to the next theme, and can’t wait to see what strange little world we’ve created next.

One month we’re wandering through haunted houses. The next we’re celebrating Victorian Christmases, magical schools, Spring-o-Ween, breakup songs, or romantasy kingdoms filled with dragons and morally gray characters.

That’s always been part of the heart of Nocturnal. We love creating unique menus that tell stories. Drinks that become conversations. Flavors that become memories.

Our next Dark Roast & Rhinestones event is happening Wednesday, June 10th from 6:00pm–8:30pm, and this time we’re doing a special Book Mark Edition for all our readers and book lovers. 📚

For $30, you’ll receive:

✨ One of two exclusive bookish bookmark stencils designed just for this event
✨ All rhinestones
✨ Applicators
✨ Glue
✨ A specialty drink
✨ Everything you need to complete your bookmark

No need to bring a thing with you. Just show up and have fun.

And trust us, you’ll want to see these bookmark designs. We’ll be releasing photos of the exclusive stencils later this week. 👀

Happy June from Nocturnal!

A new month means a new chapter in the kingdom, and we have so many fun things planned.

If you’ve been wanting to visit Nocturnal, this is the month to do it. We have book clubs, craft nights, our new Silent Book Club, special drinks, extra daytime hours, and plenty of opportunities to gather with friends, relax with a coffee, and enjoy a little escape from the everyday.

Throne of Glass Book Club Continues
We’ll be working our way through the series all month long with led discussions every Thursday evening. Whether you’ve been with us since The Assassin’s Blade or you’re jumping in now, we’d love to have you.

New Silent Book Club
Bring your current read, grab a drink, and enjoy a quiet evening reading alongside fellow book lovers. No assigned reading. No pressure. Just books, coffee, and a cozy atmosphere.

Inspired by Castell and Penellaphe from From Blood and Ash — because honestly… what’s more romantasy than forbidden love, hidden identities, dangerous loyalty, and a man who would absolutely destroy kingdoms for the woman he loves?

Their story gives us everything we crave in romantasy: tension, obsession, protection, longing, and the kind of love that grows stronger the more impossible everything becomes. Castell carries that perfect balance of dangerous and devoted while Poppy slowly steps into her own power and refuses to let the world define her.

This drink feels elegant, soft, dangerous, and a little addictive… exactly like them.

Our Princess drink is an iced Earl Grey tea with cream soda and vanilla whipped cream. Sweet, creamy, light, and comforting with just enough mystery underneath to keep you coming back for another sip.

Next on our Enemies to Lovers romantasy menu…

✨ LITTLE OSHA

Inspired by Kingfisher and Saeris from Quicksilver — because honestly… few couples capture that perfect mix of danger, tension, loyalty, and obsession the way they do.

Their story gives us everything we love in romantasy: sharp banter, hidden feelings beneath all the walls, impossible choices, survival, and the kind of chemistry that slowly builds until it completely consumes you. Kingfisher carries that perfect shadowy, dangerous energy while Saeris refuses to back down, even when the world around her is falling apart.

This drink feels soft and magical at first… until you realize there’s something much deeper underneath it. Exactly like them.

Our Little Osha drink is a cinnamon oat milk cold brew topped with butterfly pea tea sweetened with honey and vanilla syrup. Earthy, comforting, lightly sweet, and layered with beautiful color and softness that feels almost otherworldly.

We’ll be open tonight until 10pm, making it the perfect evening to grab a handmade coffee, enjoy a sweet treat, sit under the dim lights, and relax in a space designed to feel warm, welcoming, and a little magical.

And don’t forget — tomorrow is our special Upside Down Day where we’ll ONLY be open from 9am–3pm.
