Sunday is our chance to catch our breath and say thank you.

To everyone who spent an evening with us this week, brought someone new, or came back to see us again, thank you. You have plenty of places to go, and it means a lot that you chose our little supper club. Melanie and I, along with our whole team, are grateful for every table.

A little behind the scenes: the beef market has been extremely volatile. The price swings from one order to the next have been crazy, and the availability of certain cuts can change just as quickly. Finding the Prime beef, dry aged steaks, Wagyu and special cuts we love to serve has been a real challenge. With everything else that goes into running a tiny restaurant, some weeks this part has been especially tough.

It is what it is. We will pivot, adjust and keep working hard with our suppliers to bring the kind of steaks you would expect at a high end steakhouse into our little dining room at 38th and Mitchell. Seeing you enjoy your evening makes that work worth it.

Saturday is our final service of the week, and it is looking like you had better have a reservation if you are planning to join us tonight.

The little dining room only has so many seats, and Saturday nights tend to fill quickly. Come settle in for a perfectly cooked steak, fresh seafood, a proper old fashioned, and maybe a little dessert before the weekend slips away.

If we cannot fit you in this week, now is the perfect time to start making reservations for next week. Wednesday and Thursday are usually a little more relaxed and easier to get into, but planning ahead is always your best bet at our tiny old school supper club.

Every Friday night, when the dining room begins to fill, we are reminded why we fought so hard to bring this little supper club back to life.

The Jackson Grill is more than a place to grab dinner. It is a nearly century old room where people still slow down, order an old fashioned, share warm bread, enjoy each course and spend time with the people sitting across from them.

Sometimes the best steak experience is not the loudest one in the room. Sometimes it is tucked inside a tiny old school supper club at 38th and Mitchell.

A lot of people still do not realize just how deep our steak selection goes. Prime barrel cut filet mignon, a Prime dry aged New York strip, a 40 day dry aged bone in cowboy ribeye, and several incredible Wagyu cuts are all waiting on our menu.

No bright lights or big production needed. Just exceptional beef, carefully prepared, inside one of Milwaukee’s true hidden gems.
