It begins with the service you receive and carries on to the precise meal preparation that goes into every dish we create for you. Everything we do here at Tavolino is to ensure that your “Little Table” has the finest dining experience possible. Chef Derek Nackers and his team utilize the freshest, local ingredients available to create a menu of fresh, seasonal rustic Italian Cuisine. Recipes are

rooted in traditional techniques combined with creative, contemporary ideas. Our goal is to showcase the flavors that get to the heart of Italian food. The Wine Menu is a reflection of GM Peter Dietrich’s love of Italian Wine. He has hand-picked wines based on the idea that the right wine is the excellent compliment to any meal. His goal is to provide diners with an appreciation of the enormous variety of Italian Wines without overwhelming them as well as offering Domestic Wines that are familiar to his guests. Our Cocktail Menu features Italian focused, craft cocktails that feature traditional liqueurs + local products. We understand that a memorable meal is more than a well prepared dish. Our Bar + Dining Room offer an atmosphere that is vibrant + warm. Our Staff provides Service that is personal, attentive + knowledgeable. We at Tavolino want all of our guests to have an unforgettable experience that is familiar + fresh, warm + convivial. We truly appreciate the opportunity to cook for you + to pour wine for you. Looks like Mother Nature is giving Us a few more nights of great Late Summer Weather to enjoy.

Tonight is a perfect night for Dining al Fresco and we've got the perfect Patio to take advantage of what should be a gorgeous evening!

What could be better than a Bowl of Mussels in a Spicy Tomato Broth paired with one of Sicily’s Premier White Wines, The Etna Bianco from Cantine Tornatore.

Hey there Tavolino MKE Friends + Family!

The Art of Braising Meats in Italy can be traced back to the 16th Century in the La Marche Region. The recipe for al Potacchio is one of the first recipes that utilizes this cooking method in Italy.

We Braise Lamb Shank in Red Wine + Vegetables until it is just about to fall off the bone and full of flavor.

Traditionally produced and served in and around Rome, Bucatini's name originates from the Italian word buco, meaning “hole.” Bucatini is usually served with tomato, meat, butter, cream, and seafood-based sauces.

We make our Bucatini Fresh daily and we serve it as a Spicy, Summer Pasta we're sure You're going to enjoy.

I bet Leonardo was talking about Cacio e Pepe when he came up with quote.

Considered the Roman dish that sparked all the others, Cacio e Pepe — a rough translation of "cheese and pepper" — is often traced back to shepherds that would carry pecorino, pepper, and pasta with them as they moved their flocks. Moving from the sustenance of mountain dwellers to a trattoria staple, Cacio e Pepe captured the hearts of many due to its great simplicity and equally great flavors.

Let's rewind back to January of 2023. Lori Fredrich and OnMilwaukee put out their 'Bucket List' of 52 restaurants to visit in 2023.

We were lucky enough and honored to land on that list.

We were listed as #37 and this is Our Week!

If You have been following Us, You know that this has been some kind of Summer. Nothing like we expected.

We're thankful that we've been able to reopen Our Doors to You all and once again, share Our 'Little Table'.
