Our cafe is looking for a dependable part-time cook to join our team. Experience is preferred, but we’re willing to train the right person who has a great attitude and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

We’re excited to share that we will be reopening on Monday, April 20th! 🌷☀️

Starting then, our hours will be 6:30 AM – 2:00 PM, and we’ll be open every day except Wednesdays.

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back through our doors, catch up, and serve you all your favorites again. It’s been a while, and we’re truly looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones.

With heavy hearts, we invite our friends, neighbors, and extended café family to join us in celebrating the life of Tom Thompson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Great Northern Hotel Banquet Room in Mercer.

We invite you to stop by, share a memory, a smile, or a story—just as Tom would have wanted. In true Tom fashion, this will be a time to come together, remember the good moments, and celebrate a life so well lived.

Thank you all for the love and support you’ve shown our family and our café during this time. It means more than words can express.

Tom’s legacy of laughter, friendship, and community will live on in all of us. ❤️

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Tom Thompson, beloved co-owner of Tom’s Country Cafe, on March 24.

Tom, alongside his wife Denise, built more than just a restaurant, they created a place where everyone felt like family. Through his kindness, hard work, and genuine love for people, Tom helped shape the heart and soul of this cafe. Whether you came in for a meal or a conversation, he made sure you felt welcomed and cared for.

His impact on this community is immeasurable, and the memories he helped create will live on in all of us. We are deeply grateful for the years of dedication, laughter, and love he shared with everyone who walked through our doors.

Please keep Denise, their family, and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

📢 Important Update from Tom’s Country Cafe

We will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday March 11th.

We will be open Thursday through Saturday this week, so stop in and see us while you can! ☕🥞

Starting Sunday, March 15th, we will be closed for 5 weeks for our annual spring cleaning and maintenance. This time helps us freshen things up and get everything ready for the busy season ahead.

We plan to reopen on April 20th, and we can’t wait to see everyone again then!
