WOW… where do I even begin?

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Silver Lake. ❤️

Thank you to every single person who came out tonight, waited patiently, encouraged our staff, and supported the grand opening of our Squatch Burger Truck. We knew opening in the middle of July, after delays getting our food trucks up and running, would be busy… but we truly never imagined a turnout like this.

We know some of you waited longer than expected, and for that, we are genuinely sorry. As a small business, nights like this are exciting, humbling, and a learning experience all at once. We are already making adjustments so we can serve you faster and better while keeping the quality of our food exactly where we want it fresh, made to order, and worth the wait.

To everyone who offered kind words, cheered on our young staff, gave us grace, and simply understood that we were doing our absolute best… thank you. Your patience meant more than you’ll ever know.

Seeing the parking lot full, families gathered together, and so many smiling faces reminded us exactly why we poured our hearts into this dream.

We aren’t perfect, but we promise to keep learning, improving, and giving this community everything we’ve got.

Thank you for believing in Michigan Base Camp, Trailhead Taqueria, and now Squatch Burger Truck. Your support is helping build something really special here in Silver Lake, and we couldn’t do it without you.

🎆🌲 What. A. Weekend. 🌮☕❤️

WHEW!! What an incredible Fourth of July weekend at Michigan Base Camp!

We kicked things off with another awesome Kids Club! The scavenger hunt, popsicles, a special book donated from Generous Family and all the smiling faces made my heart so full. Seriously the cutest book if you haven’t looked into this series, highly recommend!! The cutest books! We read America’s Grateful Stateful Road Trip and it was so cute!! Watching families make memories together is exactly why we started these events. Thank you to everyone who came out and made it so much fun!

Then came the BIG one… our Trailhead Taqueria taco truck officially opened! 🌮🔥 Seeing so many people stop by to try the tacos, support our newest adventure, and cheer us on was such an amazing feeling. This is something we’ve worked so hard for, and we’re so grateful for the support.

And now… can we talk about this crew?! 🤯👏

To my AMAZING staff….THANK YOU! You all absolutely crushed it through one of our busiest, highest-sales weekends yet! The lines kept coming, orders kept rolling in, and somehow you all kept smiling, hustling, and taking incredible care of our customers even when our ice machine decided to break down right in the middle of our biggest rush 😅🧊 Hearing so many compliments about our customer service makes me even more proud. For being such a young team, you continue to amaze me. The teamwork, positive attitudes, and willingness to jump in wherever needed never go unnoticed. Every weekend you become stronger, faster, and more confident, and it shows. With that being said we will be closed on Wednesday this week to recoup a little before another busy weekend.

To everyone who stopped in for coffee, breakfast, pizza, tacos, drinks, or just to say hello, THANK YOU. Supporting a small business means the world to us, and because of all of you, Michigan Base Camp continues to grow.

🥹💚 Wow… just WOW!

I am absolutely overwhelmed by the turnout for our very first Base Camp Kids Club this afternoon! Seeing so many smiling faces, hearing all the laughter, and watching the kids make new friends was everything I hoped this would be and more.

Thank you to every family that came out to support this new adventure. Your encouragement means the world to us, and it’s because of this amazing community that we get to create experiences like these.

The kids were so kind, respectful, and full of excitement. Watching them search for Bigfoot, create chalk masterpieces, and simply enjoy being kids made today incredibly special.

Stay tuned for the announcement of our next Base Camp Kids Club, it’s going to be another afternoon filled with adventure, creativity, and unforgettable memories!
