Friends, we will be open our regular hours tomorrow.

A history lesson: Memorial Day is not when we thank living military members for their current or past service. It is a day of remembrance, for the ones who died for our rights.
It will only surprise some people that the holiday was started by newly freed, previously enslaved people who had served in their own Black military units, and they paid tribute to unmarked graves with hymns and decorations in Charleston, South Carolina. That’s Decoration Day. It became Memorial Day.
So we will be open tomorrow, but at 3:00 we plan to pause for a moment to thank the fallen and their families for the sacrifices they made. We are also going to pause for the Constitution and Amendments. We are going to pause for History.

Friends, we are going to call it a day and send the last barista home before any negative change in the weather happens. Tomorrow's hours may be adjusted as well.

Hi, friends!
This is the only time Google has done us right, I swear.
Anyway.
It’s your timely reminder that our hours vary greatly.
The only things we take seriously are HD rules, making at least a mediocre drink, annnnnd YOU!
So if you’ve done the discovery work of where on Earth IS Sips, please know that we once again have unusual hours this week:
We are closing early on Tuesday (7-2).
We are opening late on Friday. (8-6).
Saturday, 7-4.
Sunday, 10-3.
Mikayla will have some of her first solo shifts this week. Thank you in advance for your kindness and support. She makes a great latte. But like anything else, we also expect WORKPANICBRAINFREEZE, so a fun game we have is called “my favorite recipe”. Instead of the awkward stare pause, ask for an index card and write it down.

Dear new friend trying to find us: if you drive down 7th street from the Middle School, you will see this blue building at the stop sign. Look right.

There we are. Across the street from the Mag and also U.S. Bank.

Please do not ask my child for any directions, ever. She can barista, play the piano, paint, write, bake, but she cannot tell you directions to anywhere, ever. Like her mother.
