Today is kind of a strange day. We get to recognize our “Employee of the year”, but we also have to say goodbye to someone who has become like family.

Caleb Grindstaff has been a behind the scene hero here for sooo long. Not only is he killing it up front, but he slays it behind the scenes.

Caleb is gonna be starting his new life in Tennessee, and today is his last day as the best A shift bartender in Marion.

Let’s wish him a killer farewell, and all the blessings as he starts his new life.

Hard decisions are the worst part of business ownership. What started as a killer idea, became a massive headache. It takes hours of prep, rearranging the kitchen, bringing in extra help and a totally separate supply list to make taco Tuesday a thing.

At first it was awesome, but we inadvertently caused a few of our neighboring restaurants that cater more to that food profile, to follow suit, and create a taco Tuesday of their own. And if I personally had to choose between coming to us for tacos, or one of the many great Latino spots in town…. Well, I’d choose them. Because they do it every single day.

What started great, ended just as quick as it began. The last few weeks haven’t been worth the effort or money to keep it up. We’re losing more than we’re making on Tuesday’s as a direct result of the tacos, prep and additional payroll. Tuesdays are already our slowest day. So we’re looking at different ideas to try and make it pop, but as of now…. Taco Tuesday is gone.

Thank you all for making it cool…. No matter how short of a time it lasted.
