So let’s talk….. like really talk.

First…. We know everyone is broke. So are we 🤣🤣 this economy is for the birds. So we don’t want anyone to think that we’re trying to shame people or beg for a hand out.

But a lot of the restaurants in our little town are barely hanging on by a thread. Most of us are behind on a bill or two, And all of us are trying to squeeze every penny we can out of every dollar, just to spread it thin. Believe it or not, we’re all not working against each other. Most of us are friends, and we discuss this topic often….

But it’s gut wrenching when we see locals drive an hour to go to some mediocre chain. It’s heart breaking to watch our sales go down week after week…. All while we’re trying our best to put our best products out to drive sales. (I know mistakes happen, but the vast majority of sales are positive at our local spots)…

So what do we have to do, as local restauranteurs to keep you local?

Is it price? Would buying cheaper products and offering lower prices be the answer?

Is it just the thrill of going out of Marion?

Is it a consistency thing?

I don’t do this often…. But here I am. Standing asking the hard questions. So fire away!

Good morning, friends, and happy Tuesday!
This week we are doing a fundraiser to help a family that has supported us for many years. As some of you may know, Brandon Lewis passed away last week, and the family is trying to bring him home from the Philippines. All week, we want to do our part to help this family and have set up a tip jar at the register for those who feel like giving extra. But in honor of Brandon, for this whole week, a portion of sales on our wings (one of his favorites when he dined with us) will go toward helping the family. We would love to see the community around us help this family in need. Thank you to everyone who has already supported them, and we hope to celebrate him coming home soon.
