A belated congrats to this week's MENTAL MONDAY TRIVIA WINNER!

They are Team "I, For One, Welcome Our AI Overlords", featuring local celebrity Eric Alexander Wolpert, who we were honored to host for his birthday! So, double extra special night!!!

I, For One, Welcome Our AI Overlords bested the second place team by only 3 points, so it was close, and the twist on this trivia night was a preview of the topics for four questions, to which each team could allocate 1, 2, or 3 points, or none at all.

The team's name will remain prominently posted until a successor is identified next Monday night. IT COULD BE YOU!!!

Trivia Tonight!

The theme is PICK YOUR POISON: A REVIEW

That means that choice will be involved, and every one of these questions have been seen in the past 6 months. So, in theory, advantage to those who come more often. In reality, most people's memories are just bad enough that it won't matter.

Well, isn't THIS special?

A new tradition has been instituted! Thanks to trivia night lovers Van, Echo, and Cleveland, we now have a trophy to award the weekly Mental Monday Trivia Winners! This is a hand-crafted, meticulously bejeweled piece of absolute luxury, unspeakable quality, and a symbol of unparalleled glory. It screams to all with ears to hear: "There are none capable of challenging our intellectual prowess," (except in all caps, which I forgot just now). For a full week the winners of our exclusive and original trivia nights (Mental Mondays, that is) will sit atop their throne of erudite sagacity, their nonpareiled scholarship, their utter cerebral domination, and rightfully receive the accolades of we pathetic underlings, who can at best wish to someday compete for this vaunted prize.

TLDNR: We have a trophy now to honor the winner of trivia. It's great, and a great family made it for us.

This inaugural week the trophy goes to PAW PATROL, who, in reality, are extremely humble and barely allowed a picture. But I will say that, week after week, these are the ones to beat! So it's perhaps fitting that they should win this first offering. They scored 58 out of 60, and tonight's theme was ROY G BP (10 questions each about Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple).

The trophy will be situated in a prominent place, and the winning team name will be featured for all to see.

Trivia is every Monday night at 730, and it can get pretty crowded, but we welcome all comers! Just call ahead...

New Specials!

Entree: Our very own Cheesesteak! It's the PA-CHEESEY, with sliced beef, white american cheese, and onions on a 6" hoagie roll, served with fries.It's basic but it's good, and with the exception of NOT being from India, and NOT being a 4 player game involving pawns and dice and a pathway from start to home, it's JUST LIKE its namesake game, Pachisi. Because it's reliably good.

Appetizer: Breaded and Fried Dill Pickle Chips! These are NOT housemade (they include wheat and soy), but you get a dozen or so. They're lightly breaded and come with our housemade ranch dip, but you can try any sauce you want! These are roughly nickel-sized so we're calling them the PICKLEODEONS.

Dessert: This Butter Toffee cake is probably my new favorite dessert! Again, it's not housemade (contains soy, wheat, dairy), but we drizzle it with caramel and serve it warm, and it really is so good that you don't need a modifier to describe how much better it is; it's SO good! We're calling this our TOFFEE RUSH!

Carryover: We're still offering the quesadilla 2-pack and the cheesey broccoli, so speak up if you want those!

For specials we are continuing our 2-week rotation, so we'll continue to offer the Rigatoni, broccoli and cheese, twin queso-dillas, and strawberry-pineapple cheesecake!

What's going on everyone? Rob here and back from Gen Con 2026 with some news, games and... some changes to Thursday Night Strategy Game Night.

If you weren't aware already, besides being one of everyone's favorite tavern owners, I also have a tabletop-focused channel on pretty much every content platform! (Links Here: https://linktr.ee/titostabletop)

A year ago, I decided "who cares what I think" when it came to game reviews and started a crowdsourced series of "Reviews by players like you!" and I want to bring that here to Crossroads! A bunch of fantastic publishers love the idea and sent me home with a ton of newly released (and a couple unreleased) games for review!

So going forward, in addition to Strategy Game Night, Thursdays will also be Review Night! Come play one of the review copies I was given, leave a short 3- or 4-line review, a score out of 10, and your first name & last initial on a note card. I will then use those to make a quick shortform review video!

Hey out there!

I didn't have time to post the specials earlier, but here they are, for at least a week and maybe two!

Entree: Beef/Pork Rigatoni in a creamy mushroom sauce with pesto and spinach! It's a nice marriage of beef and pork, so we're calling it MATRIMONY RIGATONI, and it sounds good but it's even better than that.

Extra Special Entree: We have more flour tortillas and queso-fresco so as long as we have them we'll be serving up two quesadillas with a blend of queso and colby/cheddar cheeses, with cilantro and pickled red onions, and because it's easy to share, we're calling it MI QUESO, TU QUESO.

Side Dish: Broccoli fans rejoice! Adding cheese to broccoli has always gotten kids to eat at least a little, but this dish, with our fondue and spices spilled over freshly steamed broccoli, will have them asking for it! Maybe, I dunno your kids. But it tastes great to me! And it's simple! We call it BROCCO-CHEESEY-DOES-IT.

Dessert: Oh, this one is delightful. It's a cheesecake, of sorts, with whipped cream and ladyfingers and crushed pineapple in the mix, and covered with raspberrified strawberry slices. It's the PINESTRAW CHEESEYCAKE.

We have a few orders of the 4 fish tacos left, so be sure to ask if that's what you want. Otherwise, check out these new ones! Not sure if we'll go one or two weeks with this - you all help decide that every week!
