Banh mi sausage is back at Baumgartner’s in Monroe this week!

Not sure if anyone out there still sees our posts, but there is a new restaurant in Middleton that is fantastic and could use some support! Please check them out and give it a shot! We know all too well how hard it is to put your everything into a restaurant and struggle to make it work, so please show these people some love!

We realize it’s a bit unusual for a restaurant to use their platform to promote another restaurant, but this is a very hard time for our industry and we had a great dining-out experience recently. After talking with the owner, I wanted to use whatever reach we have to help out this fellow small business. There is a new Peruvian restaurant in Middleton, WI on Parmenter Street called Pikkito. After eating an ABSOLUTELY delicious, authentic, and fresh meal, I went to thank and compliment the owners before we left. I asked her how things are going, and she said it’s been really hard. People tell her they love everything they eat, but the restaurant just doesn’t have enough customers yet. It would be a shame to see someone running a restaurant this well, and doing so with such obvious love and kindness towards customers, not make it. They were really nice, the food was great, and the place was spotless. So if you’re in the Madison area, we’d highly recommend a stop here, it’s very much worth it!

Banh mi is at Our Sister Shop Baumgartner Cheese Store and Tavern this week!

The Banh Mi Brat returns! Vietnamese spiced pork sausage, topped with cilantro, pickled veggies, sliced jalapeños, and sriracha Mayo. Served all day long this week!

Banh Mi is back again at Baumies!

The Banh Mi sausage makes it triumphant return! Our own recipe Vietnamese pork sausage, topped with Rice Vinegar pickled carrots and Daikon, fresh jalapeños, cilantro, and Sriracha Mayo. Served with a slice of brick cheese and a pickle for $9. We will be serving this through Saturday, January 21!

Psst…it’s back!

The Banh Mi is back as a special until Saturday!
A Vietnamese spiced pork sausage, topped with pickled veggies, cilantro, sriracha Mayo, and fresh jalapeños, served on a toasted bun. All for $9

We also have a pickle brined grilled chicken breast sandwich, with Feta cheese, housemade olive tapenade, and Mayo, served on a toasted roll for $11

We are also serving burgers nightly from 4-8 P.M.

And a reminder that we will be closed for Memorial Day next Monday!

Special for Sunday, May 30: A local veal sausage, topped with beer braised red cabbage, a Swiss cheese Mornay sauce, a local spinach and garlic “pesto,” and served on a toasted bun!

It’s back!

The day is finally here! Starting at 11 AM today, we will be serving our famous Banh Mi sausage! A Vietnamese spiced sausage, topped with pickled Daikon radish, carrots, and onions, fresh cilantro, fresh jalapeños, and a Sriracha mayo. All served on a toasted bun!

Our Sunday Sausage, making its glorious return this coming Sunday, May 16, is the...”Banh Mi”!!!!!!!
Our recipe was developed here at Baumgartner’s, and then made famous at Our Sister Shop, OSS in Madison! It is a Vietnamese spiced pork sausage, topped with pickled veggie blend of carrots, daikon radish, and onions, fresh cilantro, sriracha Mayo, and fresh sliced jalapeños!

Calling all Sausage fans....We’ve decided to start sharing some Our Sausage Secrets with Our Sister Shop for their new kitchen 😉

Today’s special is a “Gyro brat”! Turkish spiced lamb and chicken sausage, topped with red onion, tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, and a fresh dill yogurt sauce! Homemade soups today are Mediterranean Carrot, Andouille sausage stew with white beans and cabbage, Tomato Basil bisque, and 2nd Best Chili!

We’ve had a hankering for a Banh Mi sausage, so we are making them for lunch today from 11-2 at Our Sister Shop, Baumgartner Cheese Store and Tavern on the square in downtown Monroe!
