Title: Thai Specialty Cook
We’re seeking experienced and talented Thai Specialty Cooks to join our team. If you’re passionate about Thai cuisine and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, we’d love to have you on board. Positions are available in connection with our existing Thai Basil restaurant and our upcoming Thai Nimman Noodles & Rice Bowl location at Hilldale Shopping Center in Madison, Wisconsin.
Job Description:
• Using Thai culinary training and strong cooking knowledge, preparing and cooking Thai specialty dishes pursuant to the Employer's high standards and under time pressure
• Ensuring that the food prepared is authentic and represents the delicate Thai cuisine
• Planning, designing, and developing recipes and menus, taking into account such factors as seasonal availability of ingredients and the likely number of customers
• Determining how food should be presented and creating decorative food displays
• Supervising and training line cooks in the Thai culinary arts
• Checking the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met
• Checking the quantity and quality of received products
• Checking stock levels and ordering supplies
• Determining production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of services
• Following standards and regulations regarding sanitary practices
• Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
Salary: $40,000–$44,000/year
Requirement: 24–36 months in any occupation demonstrating Thai cooking experience (2–3 years of experience in Thai cooking).
