Happy Memorial Day!
We’re gonna go ahead and post this throwback of sunshine and a salted caramel latte to remind everyone that the sun will return again. ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

We are OPEN today for Memorial Day from 8am-4pm, with the kitchen open until 3:30pm.
Assuming the rain holds off, the parade starts at 10:45am.
Today is usually a super busy day for us so feel free to pretend it’s beautiful and come out to say hi!

Attention gluten-free friends!

Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve switched to using our house-made gluten-free bread for all gluten-free bread orders. Many customers have remarked at how delicious the bread is. If gluten-free is your thing, come order a sandwich with our bread and let us know what you think!

Our GF bread is available for a small up-charge, just ask when you order.

We’ve got big news for an uneventful Tuesday!

We👏now👏have👏waffles👏

Effective immediately, we are offering two thrilling waffle options:

1. A classic Belgian waffle with butter and syrup (you can get 1 or 2 in an order)

2. Lancaster county style chicken and waffles (one waffle, covers with white gravy with chicken. Sprinkled with parsley.

These are a sneak peek to our new upcoming menu which will contain all kinds of food joy. 🥳

The waffle iron is hot and we are ready!

Today we made kimchi soup (kimchi-guk) for the first time at Slate.

Stuffed with tofu, bits of kimchi, sliced green onions and pieces of pork belly it’s satisfyingly salty, a tad spicy, wonderfully sour and perfectly savory (thank you, gochujang).

A bowl would be a great meal by itself or get a cup to go with the rest of your meal.

It brings Laura back to days of living in Korea. Come try it and see what you think! 😊
