Orange Dreamsicle Tart 🍊

Crisp sweet tart shell layered with bright orange curd and silky vanilla pastry cream, topped with toasted meringue and finished with fresh orange zest, micro basil, and a touch of sea salt.

We’re having an incredible time at The Summer Social at Freeman Arts Pavilion. It’s an honor to be part of an evening that brings our community together while supporting the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation and its mission to expand access to the arts across Delmarva.

Late July has arrived, bringing (more) local peaches, sweet corn, heirloom tomatoes, Nantucket scallops, and plenty of bright summer flavor.

🍑 Smoked Orchard Peach Smash

We smoked local Bennett Orchards peaches for an hour and a half over applewood and cinnamon sticks, then paired them with Woodford Reserve, Japanese whisky, ginger-peach tea honey, and fresh lemon. Slightly smoky, bright, and made for a summer evening.

🍝 Conchiglie Pasta with Nantucket Scallops & Heirloom Tomato

House-made conchiglie with Nantucket scallops, heirloom tomatoes, brown butter tomato sauce, sweet corn cream, basil, lemon, and sourdough breadcrumbs.

🐟 Grilled New Zealand Blue Nose

Served with sweet corn succotash, Sungold tomatoes, smoky bacon, herb-roasted fingerling potatoes, caper brown butter, micro basil, sourdough breadcrumbs, and lemon.

We are incredibly excited to welcome this original piece of art to The Gallo Room, generously donated by the Camerons and shipped all the way from Florida.

The rooster will now serve as a symbol of the Gallo crest, honoring the Gallo family, for whom the room is named, and whose support helped us get our start in opening Lewes Oyster House.

We love supporting original artwork and the stories, people, and connections behind each piece. This one already feels right at home. 🐓🎨

Inspired by the legendary 1698 pirate raid on Lewes, when Canoot and forty pirates struck fast and disappeared into the Delaware Bay. Built with Planteray Dark Rum, RumHaven Coconut Water Rum, almond orgeat, passionfruit, apricot, a splash of pomegranate, and fresh lime. Tropical, balanced, and dangerously easy to drink. 👩‍🍳
