Today marks the three-month anniversary of welcoming our very first guests! Simply saying "thank you" to each and every one of you will never be enough.
We have been fortunate enough to host intimate reception dinners, a 75th wedding anniversary, a 100th birthday celebration, retirement parties, engagements, and sweet first dates! What has been truly touching and heartwarming is seeing decade-long family celebrations transition over to Rare Steak and Seafood.
We know we are far from perfect, and our team is continuously working on ways to grow and improve every day — but we feel the incredible love and support from this amazing community.
Thank you for being a part of our dream, and thank you for making it a reality!

Breaking News: Jodi’s retirement lasted about as long as a well-marbled ribeye on a hot grill.

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that she is BACK! She realized she missed you all (and, let's be honest, the smell of sizzling steaks) way too much. The Rare apron is back on, the pin is secured, and she’s ready to bring those top-tier smiles back to your table.

Hide the steaks, folks - Jodi is on the floor and it is sirloin-slinging time. 7 days a week.

Happy Sunday, Rare Family!
Over the past few days, several guests have reached out wanting to celebrate the Cape Henlopen High School graduation with us, but were worried about arriving too late.
We are absolutely thrilled by the opportunity to be a part of these proud milestones and celebrations.
To make sure no one misses out, we have adjusted our schedule for Tuesday evening, June 2, and opened up additional availability for larger parties during our later hours from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
As our gift to the class of 2026, every graduate dining with us will receive a complimentary piece of our signature The Golden Memory dessert to sweeten this huge accomplishment!
