A long, long time ago…on an island far away, there was an ancient village that gave birth to the Udon noodle in Sanuki, Japan. A light fluffy noodle based on simple ingredients, Udon noodles is a dish that comes with a very specific set of rules focused on how to carefully prepare this low-cost, high-value food that is widely popular both in Japan and the world over. For the longest time, the time

-honored steps to prepare Udon existed as a well-preserved and protected practice that was exclusive to the Sanuki region of Japan. That is, until one day an incredibly young, curious, and very handsome Nevada-based businessman (let’s call him Henry, because that’s his name 😊) came to that region with just one goal in mind; to introduce authentic Udon noodles to America and bring a taste of Japan to Las Vegas (or Chicago, New York, etc.). After receiving exclusive permission from the Udon Master chefs to bring their extremely precise cooking steps from Sanuki, Japan to Las Vegas, Café Sanuki was finally “Master Approved” and officially opened in Summer 2017. Nestled right at the corner of Spring Mountain and Decatur (the gateway to Chinatown), Café Sanuki is dedicated to not just being your gateway to authentic, wholesome Udon noodles; we are also dedicated to becoming the 100% authentic taste of Japan you will find anywhere Sin City! We say this solely because everything we have created at Café Sanuki is 100% fresh; from our fresh-daily made Udon noodles cooked to order, to fresh-squeezed orange juice (good for the heart, great for the soul!), to our fresh-grinded Japanese tea, to our wholesome Udon noodle flour, which is imported from the Sanuki region itself.
