This is Sunset Pier at the best possible moment, that window right before the sun drops when everything turns gold and everyone on that wooden boardwalk quietly agrees that there is nowhere else on earth they would rather be right now.
Cold mojito in hand. Warm breeze off the water. Live music behind you.
Key West does not do ordinary evenings.

Why do people keep coming back to the exact same dive bars?
You've been here before. You know exactly where the bathrooms are, you know the bartender's name, and you know the band is going to play 'Brown Eyed Girl' at least once.
Then, you walk in, and it smells exactly the same as it did five years ago. Stale beer, old wood, and salt air.
The weight of the last year lifts off you as you slide onto your favorite barstool and order your usual.
