Monks On The Commons Monks On The Commons- Modern American Food offering Soulful Food & Sinful Cocktails. Monks on the Go Are you wondering why we are called MONKS?
(237)

Throughout history, monks left their homes and families to pursue their calling with other like-minded individuals. Never ones to rely on outsourcing, they trusted their own knowledge and skills to build what they needed. Over time, monks from all over the world would come to create self-sustaining hubs of scholars, inventors, farmers, and brewers. For starters, we can thank monks for beer! What b

egan as a necessary alternative to contaminated water, they fashioned into one of our most beloved beverages. The hourglasses you spy on our bookcases were also invented by monks! The push to serve locally sourced food is also thanks to monks. They were the physical embodiment
of the farm-to-table movement, centuries before it became stylish. Here at MONKS, we embrace that communal spirit and strive to promote the best this region has to offer. Consider it our calling to create thoughtful food and drink, in a space you can share with other good and like-minded people. We hope you make it your calling to come back and find some respite from the pace of modern life in
our time-honored fashion. Welcome to MONKS on the Commons where you will find soulful food and sinful cocktails in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere!
