Remembering 9/11, 25 years later 🇺🇸 Sometiems it’s hard to think of how to honor what this day means for our country, but President Barack Obama said it well: “Even the smallest act of service, the simplest act of kindness, is a way to honor those we lost; a way to reclaim that spirit of unity that followed 9/11.” Let’s be good neighbors today ❤️🤍💙

Come celebrate our guy TV Steele on Friday! Born September 11, 1847, he’d be 179 tomorrow (and we think he’d looooove his namesake sandwich! Especially because for his birthday, it’s available for 10% off all day!)

Theodore Clement Steele was an Indiana artist and member of the Hoosier Group of impressionist painters. The Steele family lived in the Tinker house at 16th and Pennsylvania, current location of Herron High School’s campus. His paintings included both urban and rural scenes and he was particularly inspired by the picturesque landscape of Brown County, Indiana. Steele was at the forefront of Indiana’s art movement and is considered one of the state’s most revered artists. Steele’s Brown County home is affectionately known as “The House of the Singing Winds” and is part of the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites. The site is open to the public and located just outside Nashville, Indiana.
