“Good supper club food”
Nice assortment of steaks, fish, etc. My mushroom sirloin steak was tender and very flavorful. Good service, friendly staff, reasonable prices, generous portions. i would definitely go here again.
“Extraordinary food for up north”

My husband and I eat here whenever we come up north. It's as good as any restaurant down in Madison, plus th
e owner is great and the prices are incredibly cheap. My favorite restaurant in the north by far. They use real ingredients and they treat them well. No nasty processed or frozen foods here.
“Gem in Disguise”

From the outside the Kimball Inn looks like a small log cabin styled supper club/cafe. When you walk in there is a lovely bar, and cafe styled seating throughout the rest of the restaurant. It's when you open the menu, and hear the nightly specials that you know you are at a restaurant that could plow over the competition in any big city. The menu includes all sorts of dishes creatively prepared with vegetables, cheeses, and sauces. Some items have been smoked for hours, giving food that fall off the bone, full of flavor goodness. If you want steak, fish, pork, chicken, ribs and a great drink, this is where to come. The best part is meals come with soup or salad, plus a list of choices for sides, which include cheesy spaetzlel. What a deal for this awesome food. The dining room holds about 70 people at max. The owner says that he closes for a month in the fall, opening up again in time for Christmas, and closes again for a month just after the ski season ends. Groups over 4 call to see if you can make a reservation. The restaurant is located on Hwy 2, 6 miles from Hurley on the right if you are heading West towards Ashland. Don't blink, you might miss it.
