Amazing Place Empowering Families Facing the Challenges of Dementia and Alzheimer's. Advancing Brain Health for All. Morning coffee/juice and snacks are also served.

Amazing Place's Dementia Day Program is led by a highly professional and compassionate staff that quickly recognizes the individual needs and abilities of our participants. The center is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Both participants and caregivers have the option to select a schedule that best suits their needs. Located in the heart of Houston, the center provides a joyful environment of acceptance allowing all family members peace of mind. Amazing Place offers a variety of activities that build cognitive skills that can offset the effects of Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias. Our safe and welcoming environment encourages friendships, social activities, exercise and education. All staff and volunteers passionately promote self-efficacy. Our chef prepares a delicious and well thought out three-course lunch each day strictly following the guidelines of MPN (Memory Preservation Nutrition). Special events, like birthdays, are celebrated as a group and festive parties are planned for the holidays. Virtual classes and other online programming are available for those that cannot attend in person or prefer a hybrid solution customized to their unique needs. At Amazing Place, the Connections Program is devoted to supporting the well-being of our caretakers and community at large by offering a variety of classes and in-person services. Our mission is to empower lives disrupted by dementia. Amazing Place is a state-licensed, faith based non-profit organization governed by a board of directors with representatives from 16 Houston area churches.

What a night to remember! ✨

Thanks to our incredible friends, partners and supporters, Amazing Place’s 30th Anniversary Celebration was one for the record books! With our largest attendance ever, we raised more than $1 MILLION - a new fundraising record for this special evening! 🎉

And the celebration didn’t stop there! During the evening, the John S. Dunn Foundation generously announced a $100,000 Anniversary Challenge Match, and we are thrilled to share that our amazing community rose to the occasion, unlocking the full match!

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who helped make this milestone celebration such a success. Together, we’re making an extraordinary impact for families facing the challenges of dementia and Alzheimer’s while advancing brain health for all.

Here’s to 30 years of hope 💙
