MIRIA extends a sincere thank you to the businesses and parcel owners within the MIRIA Zone for their participation in the 2026 supplemental tax filing process.

From July 1 through September 1, MIRIA Zone partners, with assistance from our Compliance Consultant, completed their required supplemental filings with the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.

That strong participation helps establish the foundation for MIRIA’s grant funding later this year, supporting investments that can benefit communities throughout the region.

Thank you to all of our MIRIA Zone partners for continuing to play an important role in this process. Your participation helps turn economic activity into future community investment.

Moving important projects forward takes timely investment.

At its August 2026 Board Meeting, MIRIA approved three Quick Response Grants totaling $1.45 million:

🏗️ Horsham Township: $250,000
💧 Horsham Water and Sewer Authority: $600,000
💧 North Wales Water Authority: $600,000

MIRIA created the Quick Response Grant program to help expedite funding for PFAS remediation systems and other essential infrastructure projects.

The next phase of Blair Mill Road is taking shape. 🚧

Blair Mill Road Widening Phase 3 represents another significant step in improving infrastructure in Horsham Township, with MIRIA supporting the project through its investment in the work required to move it forward.

Major infrastructure projects do not happen overnight. They require planning, engineering, coordination, and long-term investment.

As Phase 3 progresses toward its expected completion around 2030, MIRIA is proud to support an effort designed to strengthen connectivity and help prepare the area for future opportunities.

What happens after businesses report their state taxes within the MIRIA Zone? It can become part of a larger cycle of community investment.

Each year, businesses located within designated MIRIA Zone parcels report their state taxes through the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue website. MIRIA’s Compliance Consultant, Deana Zosky, is available to assist businesses with filing these reports at no cost.

The state tax revenue is returned to MIRIA later in the year, helping support grants for eligible municipalities and municipal authorities. Those funds can then be invested in infrastructure improvements, community projects, and long-term redevelopment efforts.

It is a unique process that connects local economic activity with investments designed to strengthen the community.

Looking back as September comes to a close, progress is often built one milestone at a time. 🏗️

In January 2022, demolition was underway at the former GrandMa’s Grotto property at 986 Easton Road. Even during the winter weather, work continued as another site moved one step closer to supporting future plans for the area.

Moments like these remind us that meaningful community progress takes vision, planning, and action. What begins with one project can help create opportunities that extend far beyond today.

As we wrap up September, MIRIA remains focused on moving forward with purpose and helping build a stronger future for the community.
