Meet Jay!
Jay Barnard is a Detroit-based animator who has recently started building their graphic design skills. They have been working at the cafe for almost 2 years. When approached with this opportunity, Jay was super excited to tap into their illustration background. Their work often depicts their original characters, life experiences, and environment. Jay hopes this collection represents life in and around Kitab and highlights its positive community impact on Detroit. Through this opportunity and being a part of the Kitab team, Jay has been surrounded by unconditional support and encouragement, which has deepened their involvement and appreciation for Kitab’s creative and welcoming environment.
