This September, we’re joining a group of local bakers for , a month filled with baking, fun, contests, and giving back. Be sure to follow your local bakers to see what each of us is doing!!
We each dove deep into our hearts seeking what has great meaning to each of us and how can we give back this September. If you know anything about me, one of the most important things in the entire world to me is my daughter. She has inspired me to be a better person, someone who cares about people and community, and I want nothing more than to support her as a growing young lady and encourage her to be the bravest, caring, smart person who can do anything she wants.
But not every child has a “me” in his or her life to advocate, support, and inform of the pathways to becoming a stronger “them” into adulthood.
“T.R.A.C. (Teen Reach Adventure Camp) is a 3-day, 2-night faith-based overnight camp for teenagers ages 12-15 in our local foster care system. T.R.A.C.life is a year-long mentoring program that starts where Teen Reach Adventure Camp ends. Mentoring is a time-proven process to help young people of all circumstances achieve their full potential. Mentors are caring individuals who, along with legal guardians, provide young people with support, friendship and a positive example.”
Starting today, and through the end of September, Pull Clip Café will donate $1 to T.R.A.C.life for every Girl Scout (because, of course) cookie-inspired pastry that we sell. These funds stay local and support local mentees.
Megan is hard at work baking up extra special treats, so we’ll have something for everyone!
Fancy a Peanut Butter Pattie scone?
Or are you a Lemonades loaf kind of person?
Looking for just a nibble? Try a Caramel Delite Macaron!
Maybe you’re a minty dark chocolate and want a Thin Mint Brownie?
What was your favorite growing up? Mine was Peanut Butter Sandwich cookies, so I’m definitely going for the Peanut Butter Pie cup!
Which special treat will you choose to honor those who need support?
