Even the heavens seem to be crying that today is the last day for the 2026 ice cream season!

Even though mother nature hasn’t given us the greatest day, we’re looking forward to spending this one last day full of treats and smiles!

We’ll be open today from 2-8 before we close our windows for the season. So come on down and get that one last cone, sundae, milkshake or whatever brings you joy!! (We apologize if we are out of your favorite flavor- that just means you have excellent taste! 😎)

For the final time this season, we hope to see you at the Caboose! 🚂

 Stop on down before or after one of your football, soccer, volleyball games or track meets for a hot dog and a coffee, c***r, or hot chocolate float! Or maybe take this opportunity to try out one of those new flavors you’ve been meaning to taste!

Only a handful left of days in this ice cream season!

Don’t forget, we will be closing for the season at the end of business, this Sunday, September 27!!

We sure hope to see you at least one more time this week for a sweet treat to help carry you through the long winter!

Maybe you’ll try one of our fall flavors, like apple crisp or pumpkin pie ice cream, or maybe a hot (or cold) c***r float!

… As we danced in the night, remember
How the stars stole the night away” (Earth, Wind & Fire, “September”).

We sure have been dancing the nights away all summer but, alas, our nights have been stolen away too!

Tomorrow marks the autumnal equinox and that’s our sign to start packing up for our winter hibernation.

As a result, this week marks our LAST WEEK OF THE SEASON 😕

We will be dancing our last dance for the year at the close of business on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th.

Until then, we hope you’ll stop by at least one more time (but hopefully more) for one last treat to carry you through the winter months.

Our hearts are ringing with gratitude for a great season! And we hope to see you again at the Caboose! 🚂❤️

As the evenings get cooler and the days get shorter, we are reminded that our season is also shrinking.

While we will always have our soft serve flavors and fun drinks (like hot c***r, coffee, or hot chocolate floats), our hard ice cream selection is starting to wane.

We apologize in advance if we no longer have your favorite flavor, but we will do our best to try to suggest something similar, or even, something fun and new to try.

Please make sure to check the flavor board outside the caboose to see what we have left 😕

We know that there is still a little bit of summer out there waiting to be had! We sure hope that you’ll spend a little bit of it here with us at the Caboose! ❤️🚂

Doesn’t it just figure that mother nature gives us a beautiful day and we didn’t have any Trivia scheduled?

Unfortunately, caboose trivia is over for the season. Last week’s rainout was supposed to be our season ender 🙄

Please check back here in the spring when we start up again! Until then check out DJ Dale in his other trivia gigs (or just come get some ice cream instead and we’ll ask you fun questions at the window) 😎😎

Labor Day weekend means the “end” of summer, but it also means the beginning of fall fun! School starts, sports teams get to start playing and we get to offer more fun fall flavors!

While we will be changing our hours to more “school friendly,” Monday through Friday, 4-8pm, Saturdays and Sundays will remain the same, 2-8pm 😁 which should offer plenty of opportunities for you to come share some fall fun with us. Why not check out our seasonal specials:

Since its invention in 1904, the Banana Split has become an iconic part of American dessert culture. Its history began when David Strickler, a 23-year-old “soda jerk” at a drugstore in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, started experimenting with different ice cream combinations. He cut a banana lengthwise, added three scoops of ice cream – typically vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry – and initially topped it with sweet syrups, chopped nuts, whipped cream, and a maraschino cherry. It was an instant hit! (bananasplitfest.com)

We're not so different from David Strickler ~ we also love to experiment with ice cream combinations and we love a banana split: ours includes: vanilla, chocolate, and twist soft serve, covered with pineapple, strawberry, and Hershey's syrup, surrounded by bananas, and topped off with whipped cream and cherries.

So come on down and help us celebrate with a $5 banana split, either traditionally in a boat or "upside down" in a 22oz cup! (TODAY ONLY - no substitutions or omissions please).

Mother Nature must be jealous that she hasn’t won at Caboose night trivia yet, and so she sends us rain on Monday nights 🙄

In case you haven’t checked the radar out yet, it’s looking to be pretty wet right around 6pm tonight ☹️

As a result, we are going to cancel tonight’s trivia. We are super bummed, but are optimistic for next Monday!! 🤞

Stay dry. Stay well. And we hope to see you (and your umbrellas) at the Caboose!
