We’re so happy to share that Working Food, one of our charity partners, will be joining us this weekend for our final harvest dinner. Working Food is a local nonprofit cultivating a more resilient and connected food community...growing fresh food and ensuring it is shared widely, so all can access it.
Their work centers on three interconnected initiatives: Giving Gardens, growing spaces that produce fresh food and the locally-adapted seeds to grow it; Youth Growing Together, which engages young people in hands-on learning; and Local Food Connection, which expands fresh food donations while supporting local farmers and artisans.
These efforts help more people enjoy fresh, locally grown food, strengthen our local food economy, and create spaces where people can reconnect with the land, with one another, and with the shared abundance of our community.
