Well, here’s a little piece of history I wasn’t expecting to have today. The owners of Helen’s tavern came in to visit us!! if you don’t know of Helen’s Tavern, it was the bar before Fireside, and Fireside is 48 years old. Thank you, Peggy. Bill and Sandy for giving me so much more insight into the building and hearing some stories, and they told me they’d be back, so I can’t wait to hear more. From the takeout b**r counter to them building the actual bar in the old porch that’s now the main inside bar, the b**r distributor across the street, lots of history got talked about today. It makes me love that we all kept this as a family business in this neighborhood.
I also let Peggy know who is now 90 years old, that her shift starts at 11:30 tomorrow lol.

Lower south and surrounding communities..

This National First Responder Day, Wednesday, October 28th, we’re donating 20% of sales to these two officers’ families. It’s a way to show them that our community morns with the family of officer Seiber and stands beside officer Rodriguez in the fight towards recovery.

As proud—and often terrified—parents of a son in law enforcement, our hearts break whenever horrific events like these happen. Behind every badge (of any kind) is a person with a family who just wants them to come home safely. 💙

It’s thirty Thursday gorgeous day for the patio and time for another spotlight!!
Crystal was my Friday night partner when we worked at The OT in langhorne before it closed. I’m super happy to have her here on the team!!

Hi, I'm Crystal! I've been bartending for way too long, and somehow I'm still loving every minute of it... well, most minutes anyway!
I recently joined the Fireside crew, and
I'm so excited to be here and looking forward to making memories with this team. When I'm not making drinks or pouring b**rs, you'll usually find me at home with my three kids and husband, trying to convince them all that we need to go on another vacation!
love shopping while the kids are at school, and Ill never turn down a good girls' night out.
I'm always up for an espresso martini, a good laugh, and making new memories. Sherri is a hardworking and caring person who loves taking care of others. She enjoys making people feel welcome and always puts her heart into everything she does. You can find Sherri working at Fireside every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Sherri is also a devoted mother. When she’s not working, she loves treating herself to her favorite food—Daytona wings! 🍗❤️ And when we can get her to let loose she’ll try one of our special martinis.

A little behind with our spotlights from all the events lately. That being said we have trunk or treat this weekend. If you haven’t brought your kids it’s adorable. This year it’s a sugar cookie decorating bar for the kids and pumpkin decorating.
12-2 and we’d love to see all the trunks we can to fill the parking lot for our kids!

Special birthday shout out to our now 22 year old Joey!! Hopefully we get this W for him!!

As always great weekend at fireside supporting good causes, our sports teams, mingling with the neighborhood and my staff kicked ass!

Shout out to the kitchen who had 46 tickets at once this morning when our printer of course went down. Our staff always makes it work. I enjoyed being back in the kitchen helping but watching these guys do what they do best in the worst situation.

Alright alright .. we know you are waiting for it to be addressed… yes, the skills machines are gone. And Pop is the victim here! 😂

Lots and lots and bars are speaking out on this so there’s a lot of places you can go to read the actual truth about the machines and the situation behind them. Whether you are pro or con them, I can speak on this because I lived through it, a lot more bars and restaurants would not be here right now because of Covid and the rules given to us would have closed them.
We did not get support from anyone but you, our customer family, and those skill machines.

But at Fireside we like to make lemon drop martinis 🍸 out of our sour lemons 🍋 so great time to tell you that the area that was once our skills area will be the future site of our extended kitchen along with additional counter bar seating at it.

So while pop stands in the skills machines old stomping grounds we made it our photo opp for tomorrow’s breast cancer awareness  and while the second picture it’s just a tease and nowhere near what we’re going to be doing. It gives you a little idea of what to look forward to in the future.
