Something a bit personal: this morning, this photo appeared on our personal page this morning, a reminder of what we did on this day 13 years ago. We were still living in Cambridge, and were on one of our frequent afternoon trips to the country, in this case, a farm stand in Concord, MA to buy pumpkins, fresh apples, and c***r. Billy had such a sweet, delighted smile on his face as we arrived....... unforgettable.

No, we don't greet our guests this way. That would hardly be appropriate.
But, if our fur babies choose to investigate each other, tails wagging, we let them do what comes naturally. They also get the grassy dog run with the forest in which to hide and play, and the water bowls and treats, as well as curated activities itineraries for you and your dog, because nothing is too good for them.
If you're vacationing with your furry child, we just think you might agree.

Stay enhancements are popular with our guests as an easy way of providing a spouse or loved one with a thoughtful welcome gesture, and we have them in a variety of formats and price ranges. Today's brownies in the 1901 dining room for the guests go out at noon, and are standard and offered to all guests. A classic cheese platter with crackers and grapes has been made to order, and temporarily labeled with the correct room number. Two guests ordered ch*****ne and chocolates and these packages will be completed and brought to the rooms at 3:00 pm, to ensure that the ch*****ne is properly chilled on a crackling fresh bed of ice, just in time for the guests' check-in.

Interest rates are up. Food prices up. Gas is up. Diesel is way up. Packages are smaller at the market at higher prices. Frustrating.

At Palmer House Inn, nothing has changed. Breakfasts are as filling as always. The linens are still top notch. Coffee, w**e, tea, cookies as big as always. Because in times like these, no change might just be the news you've been most wanting to hear.
