FRÍO Gelato is proud to bring Argentina’s gelato tradition to the U.S. Founded by two Argentine cousins, FRÍO offers a natural, healthy, and simply delicious dessert, with unique flavors to make you melt. FRÍO Gelato is made in a nut-free facility and all gelato flavors are gluten-free. We use hormone-free milk and no ready-made bases or artificial flavoring.

For a limited time, our fan-favorite PALTA (Avocado) flavor is back exclusively at our Evanston location! Made with real avocados, it is pure, creamy perfection.

Fun fact: Why do Argentinians call it palta instead of aguacate? It all goes back to the Inca Empire! The word comes from Quechua, the language of the Incas, who first discovered the fruit in the Palta region of Ecuador. As the empire expanded south, the name traveled with them, eventually sticking in Argentina and neighboring countries.
