💜October Drink of the Month — In Memory of Cody Bradford 💜

This month at State Street Coffee & Ice Cream, our Drink of the Month is a Banana Pudding Milkshake, created in memory of Jeffrey Cody Bradford. 🥤🍌

Cody was born December 28, 1990. He was a little brother to Ashley and a big brother to Dusty and Hannah. From the very beginning, Cody was a pistol — always causing a ruckus, tough as a pine knot, but as loving as they come. He was a true friend, a loving son and brother, a hard worker, and someone who loved hunting and fishing with his dad and buddies.

When Cody was only 13, he lost his big sister in a car accident. That devastating loss became the beginning of a long battle with addiction. For 18 years, Cody struggled with that pain and addiction until December 30, 2021 — just two days after his 31st birthday — when his life was taken by drugs.

Cody was so much more than his addiction. He was a son, a brother, a friend, and someone deeply loved and deeply missed. His family’s faith gives them comfort in believing that today he is reunited with his sister, dancing in the clouds, and waiting for the day he can hug his mama again. ❤️

This month, when you order our Banana Pudding Milkshake, you’re helping us honor Cody’s life while supporting the Benjamin Thomas Werner Foundation and its mission to bring awareness to addiction and help families affected by it.

💛 50% of the proceeds from every Banana Pudding Milkshake sold this month will be donated to The Benjamin Thomas Werner Foundation

A trip to Elberta for a completely different reason led me to this little find! ☕️

I spotted State Street Coffee & Ice Cream while I was in town and decided I had to stop in. Great coffee, a cute local atmosphere, and definitely a place I’ll visit again.

And tomorrow I’ll show you what actually brought me to Elberta in the first place. 😊
