Funding for The Nest Eliminated
The state and federal funding for The Nest, a mission of the United Methodist Church, has been eliminated as of July 31, 2026. This decision will severely impact more than 100 disadvantaged children (from pre-K to 8th grade) living in our community who rely on The Nest for safe and nurturing after-school care. Please consider contacting Jason Shoaf (State Representative, District 7) and Corey Simon (State Senator, District 3) to request the immediate reinstatement of funds for this vital program.
