I put this little video together of some sweet memories our humble little BBQ Company has made with our family and our community. John and I sat at Buck’s Oyster Bar talking about the American Dream back in 2017. We talked about our dreams and how that lined up with what God’s dreams were for us. We always put God in a box of how he is going to do it…it never quite works out the way we think it will…we have had some exciting moments and a few devastating blows…but we stepped out in faith and let God do the rest. About six months after Hurricane Michael hit, we establish Bomb’s Away BBQ LLC . John decided to name it after our son who serves in the military, our family who have sacrificed before him, and ultimately are fellow American men and woman who have served as well. Johnny joined the Air Force back in 2017 in the EOD (the cool dudes in those space looking bomb suits who like to blow things up and deactivate Bombs for those who were like me and didn’t know what EOD stood for). We decided we would always serve through our restaurant…not just use it as a monetary gain for our family. John is in collaboration with others who have our vision…whose companies give back to EOD families who have lost a loved one serving. We want to give back to those who have given so much. In 2019, we had the honor of cooking up BBQ for veterans that were a part of Warrior Beach Retreat. We hope to do so again this year. We want to continue walking out the vision to pour back into those who have served. We have loved watching this company grow in the baby steps it has thru days we have sold from our food truck on hwy 231, neighborhood food truck nights, catering at church functions, weddings, local business and doctors offices, retirement parties, special holiday occasions, and even to our beloved Deane Bozeman Food Truck Friday and Teacher Appreciation Day! We thank our community for all of the support you have shown us. All. Of. You. You don’t go unoticed. Thank you for believing in us. We hear “that it is the best BBQ I have ever had” from so many. It is humbling and we give it back to the one who causes us to prosper. So here’s to humble beginnings and big dreams! A million times thank you Bay County!
