When the power went out, our team went straight into problem-solving mode.
Generators from the Juice Wagon. Refrigeration from the food truck. Freezers. The refrigerated van. Constant checks. Moving product. Protecting inventory. Doing everything we could to make sure our juice stayed fresh, cold, and safe to consume.
It was a long night and an early morning — the kind of behind-the-scenes work most people never see. We pulled everything from Edwards and brought it to Eagle. We used our spare Juice Wagon generators to power what we needed in the shop. At midnight, with the elevator not working, we were moving produce out of our basement storage by hand to keep it cold overnight. We had the Juice Wagon powered through the night, kept checking refrigeration, and made sure nothing was left to chance.
We don’t settle for “it will be fine” or “it’s probably okay.” Everything was kept under refrigeration at all times, because the quality and safety of what we serve matters too much to cut corners.
Most people only see the finished product on the shelf. They don’t always see the effort it takes to keep a small business alive — especially when things go sideways.
This is the reality of entrepreneurship. You adapt, you scramble, you lean on the tools you have, and you keep showing up one day at a time because you believe in what you’re building and the community you’re building it for.
We’re grateful for the support, grateful for our team, and grateful for every person who chooses to support local businesses through the easy days and the hard ones.
A power outage may slow us down, but it won’t stop the light. ✨
Thank you for supporting Inner Light Juice and the local businesses in our valley that are doing everything they can to keep the dream alive.
