Meet Emily — our very first Geek of the Week!

Last summer, Emily tackled the Decalibron Loop with three of her best friends in Colorado’s Tenmile Range outside Breckenridge—a route that summits four fourteeners: Mt. Democrat, Mt. Cameron, Mt. Lincoln, and Mt. Bross.

The day started early… 2AM early. They were on the trail by 4AM, chasing sunrise and pushing through one of the most challenging hikes she’s ever done.

But the reward made it all worth it—standing together at the final summit, taking it all in, and celebrating with a well-earned drink above the world.

This was Emily’s first fourteener ever, and she went all in with the Decalibron. Unreal way to kick off a hiking journey.

She also rented our Gregory Jade 63 Backpack, which helped her stay comfortable and supported through a long, demanding day on trail.

We’re kicking off Geek of the Week to highlight real adventures from real people—first-timers, seasoned backpackers, and everyone in between—getting outside and embracing the uncomfortable.
