Take a trip with us back to November, 1940. It’s the golden age of big band music and swing dancing. Batman made his debut in the comics. Disney’s “Fantasia” had its premiere in New York, and a student at OWU, and a customer at Bun’s Restaurant quietly snuck a menu into her purse and took it home.

This past weekend, we received a time capsule in the form of a Bun’s Restaurant menu from Sunday, November 24, 1940, and we thought we’d share it with all of you.

Thank you to the Porter family of Dublin, who found this piece of history in their Great Aunt’s belongings.

And remember, be sure to visit Bun’s this summer...it’s air-conditioned!
