We spend much of our time sourcing the world’s best coffee, roasting it to perfection – enhancing their own characteristics and nuances – and brewing them with love for you, our customer. We love talking to you about the flavor notes, about the brewing methods, and about the farms we support, but will happily serve you a cup of our finest and leave you to experience it without any pressure, without any pretense. Our journey here is one of love for the bean & love for the people who care for them. We love w**e, too, after all, one cannot live on coffee alone. Meet the woman behind our newest bag: producer Nicolle Ome of La Esmeralda. ⛰️

Nestled in the mountains of Acevedo, Huila between 1450 and 1700 elevation, La Esmeralda has been cultivated by the Calderón Cuéllar family since 1984. For generations, the farm's natural spring has been a cornerstone of the community, once serving as the region's sole water supply.

Today, Nicolle is honoring that heritage while bringing new, innovative approaches to the land her family has tended for three decades.

This is what farm to cup really means to us: real relationships, sustainable trade, and exceptional coffee.🤍

Our hearts are with the people of Colombia following the recent earthquake. ❤️

Colombia is home to many of the farmers and communities whose work brings coffee to our cafés every day. Over the past week, we've been reaching out to the producers we work with to check on their safety and understand the impact. While we're grateful for positive news from many of those connections, countless families continue to face significant challenges.

In support of ongoing relief efforts, we've made contributions to organizations providing assistance on the ground. If you've ever enjoyed a cup of Colombian coffee, we hope you'll consider joining us in supporting the people behind it.

We are keeping all those affected in our thoughts and are deeply grateful to the first responders, volunteers, and relief organizations working tirelessly to help communities recover.
