These rainy days have given me another chance to photograph one of my favorite muses—Main Street. I’ve shot this angle in every season, in nearly every kind of weather, mornings and evenings… and it never gives me the same look twice. This time, wet pavement catches the soft light, golden leaves brighten the storefronts, and the misty outlines of the Pinnacles give the whole scene a distinctly Harry Potter feel. Half expecting an owl delivery, honestly. 🎃
Fall brings out so much character here—the deep colors of rain-soaked brick and wood, yellow leaves against dark evergreens, and clouds hiding just enough of the cliffs to let your imagination fill in the rest. Add a piping hot wassail from Coffee on the Fly, hands wrapped around the cup as you wander past familiar shops, and you’ve got a pretty convincing argument for spending a rainy day in Creede. No broomstick required. ☕️❤️
That’s what keeps me coming back with a camera. A familiar street, a different light, and suddenly there’s a little magic in the everyday. Robbi and I hope your Tuesday brings a warm drink, good company, and something worth slowing down to notice. Does anyone else see a little Diagon Alley in this misty Main Street mood? ✨🪄👻👻👻
