Thanks to everyone that donated to our Tips for Charity program in September to the Covington LifeWise Academy. As you may know, with the Glacier View Coffee Tips for Charity program, it is always our intent to have the charity we choose be a Covington area charity. But again this October, we are going to move out of just the immediate Covington area. For many years, October has been well known for being Breast Cancer Awareness month. Especially because of how breast cancer has affected so many of us, both directly and indirectly, for October, all Glacier View Coffee tips will be donated to the UVMC Foundation and earmarked for breast cancer education and awareness. There is no arguing that early detection is one of the strongest forces in the treatment of breast cancer. So these funds will help to get the breast cancer message out to those who need to see it.

Thanks to the continued giving of Glacier View Coffee customers, and your August donations, we were able to donate $950 to Friends of the J.R. Clarke Library through our Tips for Charity program. These funds will be used to support the J.R. Clarke Library and their many initiatives. Our staff was able to present the check today to Friends of the J.R. Clarke Library Secretary/Treasurer Karen Garber. Thanks to all of you for making this program possible. Don’t forget that September’s donations are going to the Covington LifeWise Academy.

GVC will be closed Labor Day to allow our team members to enjoy some time off. We will be open 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and then will see you back at it at 6:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. Thanks to you all for being our customers and the continued support!

Thanks to everyone that donated to our Tips for Charity program in August to the Friends of the J.R. Clarke Public Library. We are still totaling up what was raised and will pass it along when we know more. For September, our chosen charity is the Covington LifeWise Academy. The Covington LifeWise Academy is a released-time religious instruction program that is committed to reaching kids with biblical truths to introduce and instill character traits that will benefit the students for their lifetime. Please join us in supporting their efforts by adding a tip to your GVC purchase during September.

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for our 5 Year Anniversary. It was a great day!

The lucky winner of the $25 gift card for guessing closest to the number of coffee beans in the jar was Owen Wray. Congratulations, Owen!

As we started the day yesterday we pulled our 600,000th shot of espresso! A number like that would not be possible without our awesome customers and we are grateful for your continued support!

Come and help us celebrate our fifth anniversary! Without all of you we wouldn’t still be here. In the five years of the Tips for Charity program we have distributed more than $48,000 back to the Covington community with your help.
