We're ringing in this weekend with the sweet sounds of Open Jamming! Bring your instrument and join us at 10:00 AM today for a nice morning of harmony with peers, trading tricks and techniques, learning from your neighbors and meeting all-around great people/musicians. Anyone can join, whether to play or simply to watch. These Saturdays have oft been some of our bests. Have fun, all, and we'll meet you at da bar. ☕️🎸

Eat a Beef for Da Coach and da Superfans 🌭🏈💐

Every Friday/Saturday-- the GENUINE Chicago Italian Beef!! When you see the Chicago flag flying high in our cool planterbox, inside our humble abode lies a big bubbling pot of mouthwatering salty beef, simmering merrily, waiting to be clapped on da Turano roll, showered in sweet peppers/giardiniera, eaten in 5 seconds' time.
Find a better lunch, we dare you.

All ye drummers, join us for a few rounds of Drum Circling at 6:00 PM tonight! (Would it help if we said our 3rd Ward candidate drums? Vote Damon Wilson for Ward 3, Piquads!)
Remember, we do Drum Circles on the first/third Thursdays of the month, always at 6:00 PM, so if you can't make it tonight, try for November 5th/19th. Or if you're more melodic-- come on down to the Musicians' Open Jam this Saturday, the 17th at 10:00 AM. 🥁🎸🪘

🪘🥁🎸EVENTS POST!!!

It be one o' those weeks where you slam down three coffeepots, blast rock n' roll, and get schiesse done (or that's what we tell ourselves each morning because it sounds motivational). This week, we bring you:

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15TH, 6:00 PM: DRUM CIRCLE!!
Every first/third Thursday of the month at 6:00 PM, we do Drum Circles. All are welcome from pro to barely paradiddling to barely sentient, long as you got a drum (you can bring your own or borrow one of ours) and the soulful urge to make music. Have fun!
And if you're not a drummer (not that we bar drummers-- this is for ALL musicians!)...

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17TH: MUSICIANS' OPEN JAM, 10:00 AM
Hosted by our good friend Mike Killian of the Drab Irish Band, if any among ye be harmonically, melodically, brain-oddity inclined, this be your Jam.
Bring your instrument and play your favorite tunes in a room of your peers, no matter your skill level. Beginner musicians, this will help shape your chops splendidly, picking up techniques and learning from your neighbors. This happens on the third Saturday of the month (unless otherwise posted), always at 10:00 AM. Hope to see lots of you there!

Good morning, loyal regulars! Just a quick update during the election season.
As a business we are not political. We hold no prejudice/bias/dadada, save disliking everyone equally. We're colorblind; we only see greeeeeeen (thanks always for spending yours on our coffee!).
Through the generosity of our landlord, Mr. Larry Hamilton, we (at the North Star / Randolph-McCulloch Freedom's Struggle Complex) host rallies, meetings, and groups of all persuasions. We may or may not believe in the cause, but we and Larry believe in opening the facility for people to have a dialogue.

However, we will endorse Damon Wilson for 3rd Ward Commissioner in the city of Piqua, Ohio (if we don't he might fire us). He is not a yes man-- he never says yes to vacations, he never says yes to pay raises, he never says yes to working at home.
The only thing he says YES to is hard work, accountability, and full transparency. Boy, ain't he dull.
