Every survivor deserves meals that nourish more than hunger. When someone comes to Freedom for support, something as simple as a meal can create space to breathe, focus, and take their next step forward.

In 2025, café guests purchased a total of 611 survivor meals to help ensure individuals accessing services at Freedom had a meal and a moment of care while they were here.

It’s a small add-on that becomes something much bigger. The next time you visit the café, you can add a survivor meal to your purchase, and help make sure every survivor has a seat at the table. 💛

There's nothing better than spending an afternoon with the Freedom family! Our annual Freedom Family Picnic was filled with laughter, connection, and fun, and we couldn't have asked for a better day.

A special thank you to Gordon Food Service for providing lunch, donating ice pops, and sending an incredible team of volunteers to help make the day such a success. Thank you to Dry Ice Ohio for helping keep our food and treats cool, and to Angela's Fun Faces for bringing smiles (and colorful faces!) to the picnic.

Thank you to everyone who came, connected, and celebrated with us. Days like this are a beautiful reminder of the strength and joy found in community. 💙

Baked fresh each morning, our croissants are golden, flaky, and filled with flavors you didn’t know you needed.

In 2025 alone, our team baked more than 13,127 croissants. Each one made with care, and every purchase helping create opportunities through Freedom’s workforce development program.

🍰 Meet Riley Harris, our featured baker for Eat Up 2026.

Owner and founder of Love Riley , Riley started baking out of her parents’ kitchen at just 13 years old. Now more than a decade later, she’s opened her first storefront in Lewis Center and is preparing to open a second location this summer.
ㅤ
Ahead of Eat Up, we asked Riley a few quick questions:

🧈 Favorite ingredient? "Salted butter! Or maybe just salt! In the dessert world, people can be so against salt, but a few pinches can elevate a dessert and create so much more depth."
ㅤ
❤️ Dream dinner guest? "My Grandpa. He passed away when I was in middle school and was one of my biggest supporters. I’d love to tell him all about my life now, the bakery, and everything that’s happened since. I know he would be so proud."

🍲 Comfort meal? "Soup! Any kind, any time of year. It could be 90 degrees in July and I’d still think a hot chicken noodle soup sounds perfect."
