The “community” aspect of our community garden was evident today as new volunteers joined seasoned vets and a Clover High School sophomore gained hours for credit.

Included in the harvest today were Mike Kropp, Garrett Skinner, Karen Campbell, Russ Skinner, and Rob Bugg. Of course, Alison Kim supplied the group with both direction and inspiration.

Also seen in the photo is Allica Cole who ensures daughter Kenley Moonie arrives for her weekly sum of 10 hours planting, weeding, watering, collecting seeds and more.

Bok choy, tomatoes, watermelon, basil, green beans, and cilantro were among the goodies dropped off at the Clover Area Assistance Center.

We are closed for dinner on Tuesdays, but we’re still busy bees!
